BAGUIO CITY — The city’s skateboarding scene is gaining serious momentum as local skaters gear up for the grand opening of Baguio’s newest skatepark, scheduled for June 14–15. This exciting two-day event will be headlined by a thrilling skateboarding competition, drawing in skaters, spectators, and action sports enthusiasts from across the region.

Organized by the Baguio skate community with support from the Baguio Action Sports Federation (BASF), the event promises to be more than just an opening—it’s a celebration of culture, movement, and youth empowerment.

“We’ve been waiting for a space like this for years. It’s not just a park, it’s a statement that the skate scene in Baguio is alive and growing,” said one of the local skaters involved in the event planning.
